Sofas and Upholstered Furniture
Applicable products: fabric sofas, faux leather sofas, sofa beds, lounge chairs, dining chairs, etc.
Routine Cleaning
- Vacuum weekly using a soft brush attachment, paying special attention to seams and crevices.
- Fabric upholstery: blot spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth — do not rub.
- Faux leather / PU upholstery: wipe with a slightly damp soft cloth, then dry immediately with a clean cloth.
Deep Care
- Removable fabric covers: machine wash every 3–6 months according to the care label instructions.
- Faux leather sofas: apply a small amount of leather conditioner every 3 months to maintain suppleness and sheen.
- Keep sofas away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or material degradation.
Important Notes
- Do not use bleach or harsh chemical cleaners.
- New sofa beds (vacuum-packed): allow 24–72 hours after unboxing for cushions to naturally expand and regain their shape.
- Rotate or flip cushions regularly to ensure even wear.
Dining Chairs and Stools
Applicable products: velvet dining chairs, swivel dining chairs, bar stools, benches, etc.
Routine Cleaning
- Velvet / fabric: brush gently in the direction of the pile with a soft brush; blot spills with a lightly damp cloth.
- Wooden legs: wipe with a dry cloth; avoid excess moisture.
- Metal legs: wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately to prevent rust.
Important Notes
- Do not exceed the stated weight capacity (refer to the product manual).
- For swivel chairs, periodically check that the base screws are tight and tighten if necessary.
- Avoid prolonged use in humid environments to prevent wooden components from warping.
Dining Tables and Coffee Tables
Applicable products: solid wood dining tables, extendable tables, glass dining tables, lift-top coffee tables, etc.
Wood Surfaces
- Wipe daily with a dry, soft cloth; avoid leaving liquids on the surface.
- Always use coasters or trivets under hot pots and cups to prevent heat marks.
- Apply furniture wax or wood oil every 6–12 months to enhance water resistance.
- Avoid dragging sharp or abrasive objects across the surface.
Glass Surfaces
- Clean with a glass cleaner or diluted white vinegar solution for a streak-free finish.
- Avoid heavy impacts; tempered glass is strong but not indestructible.
- Regularly check that the glass top is securely connected to the base.
Extendable Tables
- Store the extension leaf properly when not in use to prevent warping from humidity.
- Lubricate the extension rails periodically to ensure smooth operation.
Storage Cabinets and TV Stands
Applicable products: bathroom storage cabinets, TV stands, sideboards, bookcases, wardrobes, etc.
Routine Cleaning
- Wipe surfaces with a dry or slightly damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners.
- High-gloss panels: wipe with a damp soft cloth, then buff dry to prevent water marks.
- Clean the interior of drawers and cabinets regularly to keep them dry and tidy.
Bathroom Cabinets
- Although finished with a water-resistant coating, avoid prolonged standing water on surfaces.
- Ensure adequate bathroom ventilation to minimise the effects of humidity on the cabinet.
- Periodically check the cabinet feet for signs of moisture damage.
Important Notes
- Observe the weight limits for each shelf and drawer (refer to the product manual).
- Tall cabinets must be secured to the wall using the anti-tipping device provided.
- Lubricate hinges and drawer slides once a year to keep them operating smoothly.
Metal Frames and Glass Shelves
Applicable products: metal frames, glass shelves, mirror panels, bar carts, etc.
- Metal frames: wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately to prevent oxidation; apply a small amount of metal protective wax periodically.
- Glass shelves: clean with a glass cleaner; do not place items exceeding the stated weight limit.
- Mirror panels: clean with a dedicated mirror cleaner or a lightly damp soft cloth; avoid moisture seeping into the edges.
General Care Tips for All Wood Furniture
- Keep furniture away from heating vents and air conditioning outlets to prevent the wood from cracking due to temperature fluctuations.
- Maintain indoor humidity between 40% and 60%; both excessively dry and damp conditions can damage wood furniture.
- Always lift furniture when moving it — do not drag — to protect the legs and joints.
- Regularly inspect screws and connectors; tighten any that have become loose.
